Qi Gong

Qi gong derives from traditional Chinese medicine. It comprises mental and physical exercises which can be traced back to Taoist-Buddhist practice. Simple postures of the body are combined with breathing exercises to harmonise the flow of energy in the body and bring about a healthy state full of energy. Qi gong is related to the more sophisticated tai chi. Qi gong assumes that stress in our daily lives can lead to blockages in the flow of energy. Qi gong training aims to start the flow of energy again. Simple exercise rapidly result in profound effects because breathing, movement and mental composure are connected to each other. Tension, bad posture, inner agitation and other physical or mental disorders that block the flow of Qi (energy) are harmonised by regular practice.
