Ear Candling

Ear candling is a highly effective, simple thermal and pressure balancing treatment aid with multiple applications and is often used for headache and earache and imbalance. Honey essences, beeswax, salvia oil, chamomile, St. John’s wort and natural linen cloth are used. In this treatment ear candles are burnt in the ear, triggering physical processes. Firstly negative pressure is created downwards until the flame has reached approximately halfway along the ear candle. This creates a slight, scarcely perceptible pressure in the ear. When the flame passes beyond halfway along the candle, negative pressure is created upwards which relieves the pressure. While the candle is burning, the therapist keeps hold of the candle and ends the treatment when the candle has burnt to the marked length. Only ear candles made of wax that is guaranteed not to drip are used.
