Singing Bowl Massage

Singing bowl therapy originated fromTibetand is a form of treatment using brass bowls.

The sounds of gongs, bells and Tibetan singing bowls are used as a medium to induce deep relaxation and reduce stress. During a singing bowl massage, bowls are placed on the fully dressed patient and then are struck. The vibrations release blockages in the body and release energy. This is the foundation for triggering self-healing and regeneration processes in the body. Letting go and letting things happen allow restructuring and harmony to take place. Tibetan singing bowls are made of 12 metals important to Buddhism and their manufacture requires special knowledge. When struck they emit a pattern of tones with numerous harmonics. The tone is dependent on the shape, composition of the material and thickness of the rim.
