This gentle form of kinetics is neither gymnastics nor a psychotherapeutic method. Rather it is a playful way to learn with the aim of releasing muscular tension and correcting excessive stress on joints. Daily sequences of movements such as walking, standing and sitting are practised, varied and finely coordinated. Many exercises are carried out lying down on on the floor. This opens up a new approach to your body and its capabilities. Tension in the back can be dispelled in this way. The Feldenkrais method makes you aware of incorrectly coordinated posture and movement patterns and brings them back into balance. The aim is to move (sit, stand, lie) more harmoniously and effectively, counteract bad body posture and improve physical well-being.
