Because not every hotel can be a member of the Best Alpine Wellness Hotels. They must meet strict criteria and achieve high quality benchmarks every year.

All hotels are classified as being at least four-star superior. They are family run and are situated in attractive, quiet, rural locations. The member companies undergo the strictest tests year-round – that of their guests – via the ‘Wellness barometer’. After their departure, all guests are invited to rate their Wellness hotel. The results of the guests’ views (on average around 2,000 surveys per hotel) are one of the most important factors in rating the hotel.

A professional perspective is gained by using the mystery guest service. A professional mystery guest checks every Best Wellness Hotel thoroughly over three days and gives valuable feedback to the company management.

Hygiene in a spa hotel is incredibly important. Therefore, we check all food processing and spa areas according to the strict criteria of the HACCP method on a yearly basis.
