Hamam (Turkish bath) Ein orientalische Bad, das aus der türkischen Bäderkultur entspringt stellt eine ideale Form der Entspannung dar.
The focal point of the Hammam is the so-called "stomach stone". A warm column at knee-height, on which you lay on to get warm. The bathing ritual takes place in four rooms, every time you change rooms, the temperature rises and your body becomes accustomed to the temperature change. After getting undressed, you relax a moment in the "Maslakh" quiet room. Here you can relax while listening to the soothing effects of the water that splashes from the drinking fountain. The next room, the "Sogukluk", will warm you up with a temperature between 30-40 degrees Celsius. Here you can massage yourself or someone else with a special brush.Enough foreplay. In the "Halvet", the actual steam bath, the temperature rises to 45 degrees. The air here is extremely moist and invites you to simply relax and enjoy. This traditional way of dividing the rooms has, of course, been emphasized with more pleasures to enjoy: here you will find a mixture of tea corners and aromatic scents, and even sometimes a large room in the center with a warm stone that moisturizes the air. Normally, there is a bath attendant overseeing the Hammam area, who checks the guests' pulses if they stay between ½ and ¾ of an hour. The Hammam master "Telak" pleases his guests with the final touch, a classical soap massage that rids your skin of dead cells and has a peeling effect that will leave the skin feeling like new.
| Following the massage, you will be sprayed with water to stimulate your metabolism. A cold shower will make you feel alive and back to earth. Ideally, you should conclude your Hammam experience with a massage. The warm body is relaxed and the effect of this treatment will intensify the massage even more.Besides the pleasant feeling of relaxing, a Hammam has very positive effects on illnesses, such as asthma or rheumatism. You can replenish your loss of fluids afterwards at the refreshment corner, which is found at every hotel.
